Letter from my heart
It has been an honor to work with all of you for 34 years. I will miss all the times we spent together working on making Donaldsonville a better place for all. Though it is a happy time for me and my family, I will miss not coming to work and being a part of the Chamber.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your continuous support and help over the years as it has helped me grow and fall deep in love with this city. Your volunteering has been the key to the achievement and all the success that the Donaldsonville Area Chamber has achieved.
A special thank you: As a united front, you stepped up in my time of need as Roy and I fought the battle of our lives. There were cards of encouragement, pies at the door, offers to drive him to chemo and phone calls from people I barely knew. The love and caring of this community will NEVER be forgotten.
I came to Donaldsonville as a little 6-year-old girl and even at that young age I knew this was forever my home; I love this little town. We had several opportunities to leave, but how can you leave something that has become a part of you? Donaldsonville is my home!
This is our city. Make a difference….get involved….volunteer!
The end is simply the beginning of an even longer story. I can’t wait for the next chapter in the Donaldsonville history book.
