It was a cold, very windy day for Sunshine Bass Club's third tournament of the year on Sunday, March 22. Despite the poor conditions 15 local anglers competed in the event held from Dolron's Landings in Stephenville.

Charles Waguespack figured out how to best the bass with a five fish limit that went 17 pounds eight ounces - the year's best catch so far. His four pound ten ounce fish was also the "Big Bass" of the tournament.

Eleven 5 bass limits were bought in and released alive event.

Second place went to Brandon Acosta whose five fish stringer weighed 16 pounds one ounce and included a four pound seven ounce bass. Lester Rome took third place with five bass for a total of 14 pounds four ounces. Joe Bonin fished the Stephenville area and brought in a limit for 3 pounds five ounce. Fifth place went to Vic Calvaruso with five bass weighing 12 pounds one ounce. Gerald Rome was sixth with a limit tat totaled 11 pounds four ounces.

It was a miserable day to be on the water - but it turned out very well for Sunshine Bass Club members.

Sunshine's next tournament is set for Sunday, April 18.
