The ACHS Bulldogs unveiled its new spread offense at the All Catholic Jamboree at Redemptorist in Baton Rouge, with mixed results.  The Bulldogs opened the abbreviated game of two 12 minute halves with a nice drive only to have Junior quarterback Cowlin Rowland throw an interception that was returned by Catholic HS Pointe Coupee Hornets for a touchdown.  The Bulldogs lost 28-0 as they turned the football over four times; Rowland threw three interceptions and Junior quarterback Jake Lejeune added another one in the second half.  Turnovers by ACHS set the Hornets up with two other short touchdowns.  ACHS was not able to establish a running game and the Hornets continued to bring pressure from different positions, Rowland was sacked three times.  Junior Taylor Landry had three catches, Senior Kolby Martinez had two and Sophomore Thomas Gros made a nice catch as well.  Senior Hunter Lemoine led the Bulldogs on Defense with six tackles.  Sophomore Matthew Reed added a sack in the second half. Junior Robert Landry had an interception for the Bulldogs.  ACHS will regroup and prepare for its opener with Hanson Memorial this Friday night at Floyd Boutte Memorial Stadium with kickoff at 7 p.m.  Tune in to KKAY `1590 AM and www.globalradio for all of the action starting at 6:45 p.m. with Richard Zeringue and Larry Dunn and visit www.donaldsonvillechief.comfor all your sports photos and highlights.
