Donaldsonville Tigers in the new 7-3A

The Donaldsonville Tigers, under the direction of head Football Coach Terrance Williams, will compete in the newly formed District 7-3A this fall.  Other teams include St. James, St. Charles, E.D. White, Port Allen and Brusly.  The new district will be a new challenge and a contrast from the traditional Baton Rouge based district that the Tigers competed in the last two years.

The Tigers just wrapped up another spring practice in which they worked out in Shorts and Helmets to prepare for the 2011 season.  Returning QB, a recent Tulane commitment, Devon Breaux will return for his senior season to lead the high octane, fast paced, offense.  Senior Tre’ Brown returns at running back after a 1000-yard season.  The offensive line will be experienced and strong.  New starters will be counted on in the wide receiver and tight end positions with the only returning starter being sophomore Leondre James.  On the defensive side, the Tigers will continue to employ an attacking style led by Seniors Courtland Joshua and Cortez Mitchell.  There is more to come on the Tigers in the Football section in the fall.
