Ascension Catholic Cross Country Competes At St. Michael's Bayou Boogie

The Ascension Catholic Cross Country Team competed at the St. Michael's Bayou Boogie in Baton Rouge on September 10, 2011.

The Boy’s Varsity team finished 5th out of 18 teams. The team was led by Zach Capello who finished 9th overall with a time of 16:40 for the three mile course. Jesse Hood finished in 33rd place with a time of 17:50. Trey Capello finished in 44th place with a time of 18:17.  The rest of the team finished as follows: Lee Oubre (18:19), Thomas Daigle (18:37), Jordan Zeringue (20:21), Luke Spano (20:37), Logan Thibodeaux (21:53), Matthew Landry (22:56), Joseph Landry (24:38), and Aaron Landry (26:42).

The Girl's Varsity team finished 10th out of 12 teams. Leading the girl’s team was Whitney Eure in 37^th place with a time of 22:40. Bailey LeBlanc finished in 56th place with a time of 23:40. Mariana Cuervo finished 59th with a time of 24:09. The rest of the team finished as follows:  Breanna Bernard (25:56), Victoria Eure (26:13), Alicia Canatella (26:46), Elizabeth Latino (26:59), Danielle Brou (27:54), Catherine Eure (28:37), Lauren Landry (28:55), Simone Giroir (29:28), Meredith Daigle (31:23).

The team next competes on September 17 in Baton Rouge at the Episcopal Round Table Run.
