Tigers win in overtime game

Staff reports

The Donaldsonville Tigers traveled to E.D. White territory to take on the Cardinals. The Tigers returned home with a 28-27 victory over the Cardinals in an overtime match up.

The Tulane commitment Devon Breaux leapt into the air, was upended by two E.D. White players and was flipped into the end zone for the game-winning two-point conversion in overtime that gave Donaldsonville a key 28-27 District 7-3A victory.

"Big-time players make big-time plays in big-time games," Tigers coach Terence Williams said. "He knows I want him to make the play in big-time situations, and that may have been the most special one I ever witnessed."

The Tigers will take on Port Allen Pelicans this Friday. It will also be Paint the Town Pink night as the Tigers sport pink and honor those with Breast Cancer.
