ACHS Beats East Iberville in District Play

The ACHS Bulldogs beat the East Iberville Tigers 41-8 on the road in St Gabriel.  The Bulldogs scored first as Quarterback Collin Rowland found Tight End Matt Reed for a touchdown. 

The Tigers answered with a touchdown and a two point conversion to make the halftime score 8-7.  The second half saw the Bulldogs take control with 34 points and shutting out the Tigers. 

Senior Alex Oliver had a 54-yard return for a touchdown after an ACHS safety.  Getting involved in the scoring was Junior Thomas Gros from 48 yards out.  Rowland added a short touchdown run to end the scoring.

The Bulldog Defense pressured the Tigers for most of the contest as Senior Defensive lineman Ryan Rodrigue had several tackles behind the line including five sacks.  Sophomore Linebacker Seville Jacks had double-digit tackles for ACHS and was supported by fellow linebackers, Senior Trent Burgess, Senior Olivier and Sophomore Kenneth Dominique. 

ACHS improved to 4-5 on the season and 2-2 in district play.  The Bulldogs will host the defending Class A champs in White Castle this Friday.  This will be ACHS Homecoming, supporters and Alumni are invited to attend.  KKAY 1590 coverage will begin at 6:45 pm.
