Ascension Catholic softball, baseball seasons in full swing

The Ascension Catholic softball and baseball teams are swinging hard this season, both looking to jump into the Class A playoffs this season.

The softball team has already played two district games and will play its third tonight at home versus White Castle. Varsity is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

The baseball team plays its first district matchup tonight at East Iberville and will return home Friday for its annual ACHS tournament. The tournament will begin Friday night with a 3:30 p.m. matchup and the Bulldogs are scheduled to play at 8 p.m. against Opelousas Catholic. On Saturday, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play University High at 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday, the Bulldogs are scheduled to play Episcopal at 4 p.m.
