Joseph repeats as track champion coach

Former Donaldsonville High School track and field coach Jimmy Lee Joseph has joined a company of few – winning a championship at the high school level and collegiate level.

In 2013, Joseph, a Donaldsonville native, led the DHS Lady Tigers track and field team to a 3A State Outdoor State Title, and now as an assistant coach at Southeastern Louisiana University the team has won the Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field competition.

The really insane fact about Joseph’s success is that he’s done it in consecutive years and in his first two years in track and field coaching. In just two years, Joseph is two-for-two in championships, either he’s the charm or he falls in the right places at the right times.
