Donaldsonville native and DHS alumni Kayla Mollere, senior guard, of Friends University was selected as the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the week in two weeks for the month of November.

Mollere was selected for her offensive performance during the week of November 10 - 16 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors, and defensively during the week of Nov. 24 – 30.

Mollere nearly averaged a double-double on the week at 22.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. She added in 4 steals, 2 assists, and 1 block while shooting 60.6 percent from the field. Her best performance took place in a 60-59 victory over William Penn, during which she scored 24 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and recorded one assist. This is Mollere's first Women's Basketball Player of the Week award of the 2014 season.

Mollere led the Falcons' defensive campaign in three wins on that week, including the win at Hastings. For the week, she had 20 rebounds (13 defensive), 12 steals, and two blocks. During the win versus the University of Science & Arts (Oklahoma), Mollere had a KCAC single-game high of seven steals as Friends held the Drovers to 26.5 percent shooting and forced 32 turnovers. Mollere is first in the KCAC in steals per game, sixth in blocks per game, and 11th in defensive rebounds per game on the season. This was Mollere's first Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2014-15, and her second weekly honor of the season.
