ACHS boys’ hoops fighting for .500 in district play

The Ascension Catholic boys’ basketball team (15-8, 3-4) snapped a three-game skid in 8-1A district play last week with a 61-57 win at St. John of Plaquemine. The win came much-needed for the Bulldogs as the season looked to be spiraling down as the roster depleated to only seven players and taking a 40-point loss at home to White Castle.
The Bulldogs have one home game and one away game left to play in district and will need to win them both to take a good seat in the 1A playoff bracket.
The Bulldogs will host West St. John on Friday, Feb. 6 with a tip off scheduled for 6 p.m.
