DHS’ Mercadel girls’ track MVP of Crawfish Relays

Donaldsonville’s girls’ track and field senior sprinter Terralicia Mercadel finished first place in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter dash last week at the Crawfish Relays at St. James High to be named Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the afternoon.

Mercadel won the 100 meters in a time of 12.41, the 200 meters in a time of 25.74, and the 400 meters in a time of 58.68.

The DHS girls’ 400-meter relay team placed fourth in the meet with a time of 54.12.

On the boys’ side, Percy Cargo, Jr. finished first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.35, while teammate Zachary finished second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.
