ACHS baseball opens district with win

The Ascension Catholic Bulldogs’ baseball team (4-13, 1-0) opened district play with an impressive 11-3 win against a 8-1A weakened district opponent East Iberville on March 19.

Nick Milano controlled the mound through four innings, holding East Iberville scoreless. It wasn’t until the top of the fifth inning that the Bulldogs had a field error that allowed East Iberville a hit, a run and eventually some scores.

The Bulldogs return home on April 1 to host St. John. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
