The Ascension Catholic softball team (14-3, 7-0) continues its domination in the midst of a 10-game winning streak, and being perfect in 8-1A district play.

The team is functioning on a collective effort of hard work, trust and celebration as each member plays an important role making sure those elements are present, which has led to the success.

On the mound junior pitcher Julia Beck has been spot on and fierce giving up very hits while on this dominant stretch. In the 10 games, the Ascension Catholic defense has only allowed eight total runs.

But it also takes some good batting, and that definitely isn’t a problem as senior Aimee Prejeant leads off a hard hitting lineup. Prejeant starts most games with a bat-on-ball right away and from there the dominoes fall in the favor of the Lady Bulldogs.

With in-the-park and out-the-park home runs tallying up for junior Rae’Shaun Malancon, the Lady Bulldogs plate work is just as dominant as their defense.

In the last four games, the Lady Bulldogs have give up zero runs yet adding 57 runs of their own.

The Lady Bulldogs will host White Castle on April 7 in its next district game. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
