The Donaldsonville High softball team (3-7, 1-2) lost 8-2 to White Castle in a home game on Good Friday, April 3.

In the top of the seventh inning, the wheels fell off for a rallying Tigers team who only trailed 3-1 through six innings. White Castle brought in five runs in the top of the seventh inning to make the DHS comeback a harder feat.

DHS brought in a run in the fourth inning after a White Castle field error that enabled Donaldsonville’s Kiana Landry to steal her way home. In the bottom of the seventh inning Tyriel Riley batted a sacrifice ball to the pitcher to bring Jade Whittington home.

The Lady Tigers will return to the mound on April 13 for senior night. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
