Glenn Foster Jr. was born in Chicago on May 31, 1990. He was 31 years old at the time of his death.

Foster signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent. As a rookie, he picked up seven total tackles, three sacks, and a pass defensed in 12 games during the 2013 season.

He would go on to play five games in the 2014 season with the Saints, before an injury derailed his season.
