Brian Kelly to meet with LSU football's 2022 commits Saturday, according to Emery Jones
LSU football coach Brian Kelly and his staff will meet with the Tigers' 2022 commits in-person for an "official visit" in Baton Rouge on Saturday, according to four-star recruit and LSU commit Emery Jones.
"(Kelly's) going to be there, (interim head coach and offensive line) coach Brad Davis and just all of the 2022 commits," Jones said.
The meeting comes in light of Kelly — who was hired by LSU on Monday from Notre Dame — expressing the importance of keeping the Tigers' commits with the program in his introductory press conference on Wednesday.
LSU has the No. 15 recruiting class in the nation with 13 players committed, according to 247Sports Composite.

"The most important thing about recruiting is to take care of your base first," Kelly said. "My focus will be on those that have made a decision to LSU."
At Notre Dame, Kelly built the country's No. 5 class in 2022, as his last five recruiting classes were all ranked in the top 20 nationally.
Jones, the No. 9 offensive guard in the nation, mentioned that he is excited to get to work with Kelly, who has a reputation of developing offensive linemen for the next level.

Last week was the first time he spoke with Kelly.
"I just kind of got to learn about his background a little bit," Jones said. "I know they've (produced) a couple of NFL linemen high (in the draft).
"He produces o-line guys. It's really exciting."
