Bulldogs hoping to win first semifinal game since 1994

Today, Ascension Catholic will compete in a state semifinal game for the first time since 2005, when they play top-seeded Central Catholic in Sulphur.

When the two teams met earlier this season, Central Catholic won, 3-1.

Since 1975, only nine Bulldog teams have reached the state tournament. Prior to this season, they were 4-4 in semifinal games.
