As they prepare for the 2015 football season, three of Donaldsonville's brightest stars received more scholarship offers this week.

Southern University made a strong push for wide receiver Stephen Sullivan, defensive lineman Tyarise Stevenson and quarterback Tyler Brown.

Southern is just the most recent school to reach out to the three athletes about joining their 2016 signing class.

Sullivan is one of the most sought-after prospects in the nation.

He is currently ranked 68th in's list of the top-300 high-school prospects for 2016.

Sullivan was a first-team all-district player in 2014.

The 6-foot-6 wideout has been committed to LSU since last summer. He has also gotten a strong push from TCU over the last few months.

Stevenson emerged on the defensive line last season for Donaldsonville. For his efforts, he was named first-team all-district.

Over the summer, the scholarship offers began to trickle in, and Stevenson decided that Tulane was the right place for him.

He was the third Donaldsonville player to commit to Tulane over the last few years. Former Tigers Devon Breaux and Leondre James are currently on the Green Wave roster.

Tyler Brown will enter 2015 as Donaldsonville's quarterback for the third straight season.

Brown's athleticism has caught the eye of many college scouts over the past year.

In addition to the recent offer from Southern, Brown has also been offered by UL-Monroe and UL-Lafayette.

Southern also made a scholarship offer to Plaquemine quarterback Austin Mitchell

Brown, Stevenson and Sullivan are hoping to guide the Tigers to the playoffs for a third straight season as they begin their first year in District 6-3A.

Donaldsonville's season opener will be on Sept. 3, against Assumption.
