Ascension Catholic and St. John have a long history of being fierce rivals on the field, but last week, the two schools put their rivalry aside and joined together.

Both schools united to help in the relief efforts in the area after South Louisiana was ravaged by catastrophic flooding.

The two football teams will meet for a key district clash on Oct. 21, but last week, all they cared about was helping local flood victims.
