Here's a look at the top 10 high school football teams in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, as ranked by the USA Today Sports Network. 

1. Captain Shreve (6-0, 3-0 District 1-5A) – Missing a few key players last week, the Gators couldn’t put away Benton, but managed 279 passing yards from Kenyon Terrell to remain undefeated. Last week: Ranked No. 1. This week: vs. No. 2 Natchitoches Central.

2. Natchitoches Central (6-0, 3-0 District 1-5A) – BJ Young, Jeremiah Miles and Caylin Demars helped NCHS remain undefeated heading into a District 1-5A showdown. Last week: Ranked No. 8. This week: at No. 1 Captain Shreve.

3. Ruston (5-1, 1-0 District 2-5A) – Ruston had little trouble with Pineville last week thanks to 344 rushing yards with Dyson Fields getting 167 and three scores. It’ll be tougher this week. Last week: Ranked No. 3. This week: at Ouachita.

4. Byrd (5-1, 2-1 District 1-5A) — The Jackets got back on the winning track against Parkway thanks to touchdowns from Josh Allen, Mitchell Ramsey, Tyler Nichols and Devon Strickland. Last week: Ranked No. 4. This week: vs. Benton.

5. Calvary (5-1, District 1-1A) – The Cavs’ defense dominated high-scoring Homer holding the Pelicans to one score. Meanwhile, Landry Lyddy picked up four more touchdown passes. Last Week: Ranked No. 5. This week: vs. Magnolia.

6. Many (5-1, 2-0 District 3-2A) – The Tigers had a surprising offensive and defensive outburst against Winnfield with a 50-0 victory. London Williams scored three times and had 178 rushing yards. Last week: Ranked No. 7. This week: vs. Avoyelles.

7. Benton (4-2, 1-2 District 1-5A) — The Tigers had their chances against Captain Shreve due to the pitch-and-catch duo of Gray Walters and Pearce Russell. Last week: Ranked No. 6. This week: at Byrd.

8. Huntington (5-1, 2-0 District 1-4A) – The Raiders may never get another game like quarterback Kamron Evans produced against Bastrop with 588 passing yards and six touchdowns. Last week: Ranked No. 9. This week: vs. Woodlawn.

9. North Caddo (5-1) – Cousins KJ Black and Omarion Miller combined for more than 600 yards and nine touchdowns as the Titans won 64-48 over Mansfield. Last week: Ranked No. 10. This week: vs. vs. Ringgold.

10. Northwood (4-2, 1-0) – The Falcons got a pair of scores from Quintavion White and needed touchdowns from Ke’Marion Jones and Derrick Roberts to get past BTW. Last week: Unranked. This week: vs. Evangel.
