Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford, wife Kelly, expecting baby No. 4
No. 9 is expecting No. 4.
"Got to enjoy one of the most magical places with my husband and 3 of our kiddos. Not pictured: our middle baby girl, Huntie," Kelly Stafford wrote with a picture of the family at Disneyland. "Baby stafford #4 due this summer (no worries, well before training camp) ... We won’t know whether the stafford kids will continue as a girl squad or if a little brother will enter the craziness until baby is here. Excited and exhausted!"
The Staffords have three daughters: twins Chandler and Sawyer, who turn 3 later in March, and Hunter, 1.
Matthew Stafford, 32, is entering his 12th season with the Lions and holds virtually every franchise passing record.
He threw for 2,499 yards and 19 touchdowns last season, but missed eight games with a back injury.
Stafford has been the subject of trade rumors this offseason, which Kelly acknowledged in an Instagram post in February, writing, "if detroit is done with us ... I could stay in Cali."
Lions general manager Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia have denied Stafford is on the trading block, and on Friday, Kelly Stafford took to Instagram again to debunk suggestions the Staffords are the ones seeking a trade.
After posting a picture of Matthew in his Lions uniform with the caption, "we ain't goin' nowhere," Kelly Stafford wrote, "Nor has that ever been a thought. He loves Detroit and the Lions organization.. and so do i. (Not that anyone cares about me but this is my Insta so).. anyways, back to the combine please.”
Kelly Stafford has long chronicled her and her family's lives on Instagram, including the births of Chandler, Sawyer and Hunter, as well as her brain tumor diagnosis and subsequent surgery last spring.
The No. 1 pick of the 2009 draft, Stafford has three years left on his contract and has thrown for 41,025 yards, 18th most in NFL history.
